One of the most influential products of our time is definitely the
mobile phone. It has completely changed the way communicate with
people and is now an essential part of our day to day lives.
It is incredibly uncommon to come across a person now that doesn't
have a mobile phone and when we leave it at home it causes havoc in
our lives. Radio phones were the first form of mobile phones to come
out in the 1950's, but it wasn't until April 3, 1973 that Martin
Cooper, a Motorola researcher and executive made the first call on a
handheld mobile phone. Since then, commercially automated cellular
networks were developed to include 1G, 2G and 3G networks and include
a huge variety of extra services besides a simple call.
