Sleep Easy.

At its most basic level my device is designed to measure its user's sleep patterns.
By monitoring brain waves the product is able to determine what stage of sleep the consumer is in.
Based on the knowledge that each cycle of sleep lasts between 70-90minutes the device is programmed to wake the sleeper in their lightest stage of sleep before the alarm is set to go off.
This will ensure that the user wakes up fresh, rather than lethargic.

The context of this contraption is transportation, specifically long train rides or flights. The ear pieces are designed to block out any external noise to aid the user in sleep. Whilst the outside of the headset displays the stage of sleep the user is in so that any flight attendants know how deep the passenger is sleeping and can make an educated judgement on whether to wake them or not.
Perhaps its most useful function would be preventing Jet-Lag. By entering the current time of the destination the device would be able to determine what would be a reasonable time to wake you up ensuring that you are as prepared as you possibly can be for a full day of sightseeing after touching down.

At this stage of the design process the characteristic that has changed most about my product is the form, as is illustrated by the two attached images. I have also added features such as the sleep display screen, logo and a more defined interface. These aspects will only continue to change, and hopefully for the better.
