Road Rage

Every day seems like drivers on the road are getting worse. Don't know about you but i seem to get angry very easily from people going miles slower than the speed limit, going through roundabouts the wrong way and the hoons driving to close. It would be great to make a device that could teach these idiots how to drive but you cant teach an old dog new tricks.
So instead, the direction I've decided to take is to create a new steering will to replace the original that contains pressure sensors and a camera. The wheel will use the pressure sensors and camera to measure tension in the hands or if your bashing the wheel with disgust and facial recognition to detect if you are experiencing road rage.
The device will then change the stereo to a soothing song and might possibly include some nice glowing lights. The wheel will also include some soft gel pads for the driver to release the anger.

For a bit of a laugh you might want to check this out (How to piss other drivers off):

  1. One of the comments on my post recommended using tracing paper to help develop the form and I thought this could be useful in your case too. Maybe do some sketching on traching paper over an actual image of a steering wheel so that you've got the basic proportions in. Just an idea.
