Post It Radio

This is a very unusual radio concept designed by a student at London's college of the arts, Yuri Suzuki. It is not so much of a prospective product as it is a small art installation. Suzuki was inspired by his love of stumbling upon pirate radio stations, of which London has many. With this radio you can mark the location of your newly discovered frequency and make notes about it. The pencil also acts as an antennae, volume and tuning control for the device.
This product has so many design flaws that it is definitely a long way from being the best radio design. For example, this radio doesn't tell you the exact frequency, so if you do find a radio station you like, you wouldn't be able to find it on any other device. Also, once you've filled up one Post It with stations and notes, then what? You take it off and you've lost the location of those stations.
Nevertheless, I really enjoy the fact that at first glance it looks like a plain old Post It notepad, but at the same time it's an fm radio with a fun, interactive with and very innovative interface. After all, who doesn't like drawing on household appliances?
