thanks mum!

earlier in the week i had told my mum about the measuring brief. Today when she returned from the supermarket, she came into the house all excited and said "look what i've got!" she handed me one of these spaghetti measuring devices. i know that there is already a post about another type of spaghetti measuring device, but i felt like i had to put this one up. i really simple design, although when you pull the switch around to change the diameter in the middle it is very stiff and kinda hard to move around.
The design is by 'joseph joseph' and comes in various colours, it is able to measure amounts of pasta for 1 to 4 people. it is very simplistic and i think this may be one of its downfalls, when trying to put pasta through it it is very hard to hold and get the correct amount that you want, perhaps a different shape other than circular or some kind of grip would be better.  i think that a more functional inspired measuring device has more potential, this is a direction i intend to take.

  1. Not that I'm much of a cook, I really like this design. Especially the aperture like opening/closing mechanism which makes it look really cool.
