With the rampant use of mobile phones in schools these days for all kinds of unsavoury purposes, it's funny to think that there was a time when being caught for passing a note and having read out to class spelled total embarrassment. In the battle of the sexes however, Girl Tech seem to have found the answer for gossipers with the Journal Jam n' Shred Pen.
Regardless of the fact that the unmarketable shred pen assumes that kids don't own mobile phones, it's actually quite well designed. The two raised buttons on the upper part of the pen allow the user to reset and scan or shred their messages through the shredder at the tip end. The shape of the hand has been built in, so switching between these would be accessible and not cause too much RSI for the most unruly of schoolgirls.
In case you don't look cool enough shredding your love note to Justin Beiber, Girltech have pimped their shredder with a built-in fm radio, which can be utilised via another accessible dial high on the pen, with typical plastic grooves for friction with the flesh of the thumb. There's even an earphone that extends from the base of the pen so that you can listen to the Top 40 while you misbehave...
...uhoh I think I've been caught... shreds.
