Lexon Design Foam Radio

With the fashion houses embracing bright colours, designers are not ones to be left behind. Lexon, a company famous for it's sleek and innovative chrome devices has encased a radio with red porous foam. A little strange, but I think it's brilliant! The contrast between the smooth brushed aluminium and the 'grainy' foam makes it stand out.

Designed by Elise Berthier of Elium Studio, the simple controls are lined along the top, allowing the rest of the radio to 'glow'. Each of the controls has just enough information to make it work which is all that anyone really needs; a tuner dial, a sound dial, an on/off button and an aerial is all that takes up the top face of the radio, simple. The radio can be placed upright as shown in the picture or on it's side as the sound can escape in any direction which is awesome.

All in all, one of the best because it is something different.
