nobility transistor radio

Very little information is available on these older radio designs. i believe it was likely to have been designed in the 1960's.
i chose this radio as one of my favorites to critique because i believe it represents fundamental details in design.

simplicity in design is always aesthetically pleasing, as is the case with this radio. The form of this radio is genuinely easy on the eyes, nothing outrageous or un-needed, the only aspects that are communicated are those that are deserved.
The subtle cream plastic on the back of the radio allows the the gold accents and black front to be the focus of attention.
The size of the speaker exemplifies the quality of the sound, as it takes up almost the entirety of the front, emphasizing how important it is.
The classic style of design perfectly relates to the trends in design of the time, and are still valuable in their nostalgic presence.

I believe this is a successful design because it highlights exactly what it needs to and communicates this clearly. these are some aspects i wish the develop in my design.
