I hate them! All products, in my house at least, are in greatest concentrations around power outlets, like people to streams and fertile lands. Space is at a premium in those places, and the last thing that I want is a big bulky power cord sitting around like an obese person taking up two seats. Many a time I have gone to charge my phone, and had to disconnect the land-line phone power plug as well as the sound system in order to plug it in.
Worse still is how there seems to be any consensus on which way the power brick sticks out. Some go left, some go right, and others (like the one I have for computer speakers) simply stands above the outlet in a large cube, not allowing anyone to plug in an appliance on either side of it. At the very least, they should stick down, up or outwards so you can still plug things in on either side of the cord.
doesn't seem to be any consensus*!

I have the same annoying problem with my phone and hard drive charger. It drives me up the wall having to take out other plugs so it can fit as well. I literally had to snap a tiny bit of plastic off one of them in order to fit another appliance next to it. Very frustrating.

Who post this?
ReplyDeleteIt's ok Tom, I agree for sure!
ReplyDeleteCan everyone please remember this post when they make it out to industry - just tell those engineers that the tech package will have to change!
Imagine if you were happy with a product - right down to the last detail like the plug - you would talk about it to your friends wouldn't you?

I agree too, I have to put my phone charger on a particular side of a two socket power outlet just so that i can use the other one for my bedside lamp. It annoys me greatly!
