I soon discovered that 55% of radio listening actually occurs at home rather than at the workplace (22%).
This led me to focus more on the styles and forms of radio's which could be found in a typical household.
Whilst, for me, picking a 'best' radio design is impossible. However, I would consider the Gélule Bedroom Clock Radio to
be one of my favourites for a couple of reasons. The work of product design agency 'Sequoia-studio', Hong Kong, this bedroom
radio/clock stands out with it's vibrant colour and clever capsule form. The radio features an LCD display, and an omni-directional speaker
(which means it can be pointed in every direction) as well as a simple system of twisting the device to change volume .
Whilst I like the novelty of having a capsule shaped radio, what really makes this product interesting for me is the simplicity of the controls.

antennae which spins to tune) holds more appeal, as they eliminate the need for unnecessary buttons.
wow, great design, I think the incorporation of an everyday object into the design is really effective. I also like the sense of interaction and playfulness.

I agree, this is a great design! I especially like the omni-directional speaker and twist volume control. How accurate is control for the tuning and volume? Any chance it could roll off the table?
